Powdered hōjicha made from roasted Kukicha.  The material kukicha is lightly roasted to preserve umami (amino acids).  The color of this Japanese tea powder is slightly greenish-brown and gives you bitter and refreshing tastes. Good for both drinking and as a flavor for making sweets.

Farmer’s recommended way to brew for 1 cup
-Servings per Container: 100 servings or more
-Leaf amount: 0.018 – 0.035 oz / 0.5 – 1 g
-Water temperature: 158 – 176 F / 70 – 80 C or cold water
-Water amount: 3.381 fl oz / 100 ml

Brewing steps:
For hot tea
1. Use soft water
2. Boil water for 5 min. to take out air and chlorine
3. Cooldown water temperature (transfer the water from one cup/bottle to another is quick way to adjust the water temperature.  For this tea, transfer 2-3 times.)
4. Put 1/3 heaping teaspoon tea powder into cup/bottle
5. Pour out a little less than half cup adjusted temperature water into cup/bottle
6. Stir with a whisk for a cup or shake well with a bottle with lid

For cold tea
1. Use soft water
2. Put 1/3 heaping teaspoon tea powder into cup/bottle
3. Pour out a little less than half cup water into a cup/bottle
4. Stir with a whisk for a cup or shake well with a bottle with lid
