Kazuho is a standard bamboo whisk.  It has around 70 strings, and you can make both koicha and usucha with this whisk.

Bamboo whisks are consumable items.  If you want to have your favorite color string whisk, we offer a semi-custom-made color string with 5 whisks (same color, same whisk type) as a set.

  1. Bamboo whisk – Select one whisk type from Kazuho, Shirotake Shin, and Kurotake Shin
  2. String color – Select one color from yellow, tangerine, orange, red, pink, purple, navy, blue, and green

The whisks will be handcrafted by a certified Japanese traditional craftsman.

The workshop needs 1 – 2 weeks to make your whisks upon receiving your order.

Shin’s strings are straight and thicker than Kazuho.  Therefore it is more durable and you can use it for a longer time.  This whisk is good to make usucha.
