If you want to bring out the tea components and enjoy your Japanese teas at most, we recommend this small flat kyusu.  The wide base prevents tea leaves from piling up and helps them unfold evenly in hot water.  The unglazed surface absorbs more catechins than glazed and brings out the natural taste, color, and aroma of your Japanese teas.  Enjoy the teapot’s naturally occurring off-color elegance!

If you prefer a kyusu teapot shaped like a ball, how about this teapot?  The filter net is made of finer mesh than Morimasa’s red kyusu.  Red stoneware kyusu adsorbs the catechin’s bitter and astringent taste while not absorbing sweet umami amino-acids.  So you can make your tea less bitter, less astringent and milder taste with this kyusu.
