This is Mr. Sakamoto’s highest grade karigane tea. Recommended for those who especially enjoy the umami taste. Karigane is a by-product, made from stems and powdery leaves that are removed when making Gyokuro tea, but it is as delicious as high-grade Gyokuro. You will want to brew and drink this delicious tea again and again.

The area where Mr. Sakamoto’s tea field is said to have been cultivated by monks(僧=sou) to relieve famine in the past. Enjoy its milky flavor, grain-like aroma, and refreshing aftertaste that lingers on your tongue. |
